Stella & Dot - October 2020 🎗️ Breast Cancer Awareness Collection

I am so excited to share the Stella & Dot Family of Brands' 2020 Breast Cancer Awareness Boutique throughout the month of October to increase our impact for an incredibly important cause.

We will donate 20% of the retail purchase price of eligible products to our charity partner, Bright Pink, a non-profit organization focused on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in women.

Since the start of our partnership with Bright Pink in 2016, S&D Brands has donated over $500,000 (over half a million dollars!), helping Bright Pink impact over 1 million women to be their own best health advocates through innovative programs that educate, equip and empower proactivity.

Additionally, I'm partnering with the Breast Cancer Resource Center in Austin to make an impact to support locally. In previous years I have supported local efforts to raise breast cancer awareness and funds during the month of October with fundraiser style events and a collection of chemo care poufs.

This year, I am changing things up a bit, and for the month of October, I am hosting an online shopping event through my Stella & Dot e-boutique

Shoppers who use this specific link - www.stelladot.com/whitneyfields2 - through October 31, 2020 will have their orders count toward earning referral rewards.

I'll use ALL of the referral rewards earned through this event to purchase as many of our SMOOTH Peptide Lip Therapy balms as I can, which will be donated to those undergoing treatment or care through the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Austin.

The great thing is that any purchase through this link counts toward the total sales, but we also have a boutique of additional items that will benefit Bright Pink. Double-dip your donation when you shop for a cause in October! 🎗️💕

Shop the breast cancer awareness benefit boutique to benefit the Breast Cancer Resource Center in Austin here. Want to host a virtual fundraising event for your favorite cause? Reach out to me for more details.

#10FreeDays: Day 2 - She is a Victim

Before moving on to Day 2 of our #10freedays campaign, let's celebrate how Day 1 went. Almost $49,000 has been raised... ENOUGH TO RESCUE 163 GIRLS THROUGH DAY 1!

Incredible work. Thank you to all the donors so far. We still have more work to do. 🙏🏻

Day 2: Today, we will look at why a young woman is at risk of becoming a victim of trafficking in Nepal, and how easy it is for predators to trick them into unimaginable horrors. Thankfully, there are men and women like YOU that are here to expose these lies and to set the record straight.

An estimated 25,000 to 35,000 girls are trafficked from Nepal to India and beyond each year. Girls are tricked and persuaded by the promises of traffickers who build false relationships with them. They are promised a better life in a faraway land only to end up in a brothel in India or in the Middle East. Once in a brothel, victims can be sold to men up to 30 times per day.

In today’s video, Allison will share why girls in Nepal are susceptible to the trafficker’s lies.

🤜🤛 Please join me in this fight against trafficking by helping me meet my fundraising goal through this link (also easily accessible in my LinkTree): http://weblink.donorperfect.com/OurDaughtersInternational/10freedays2020/WhitneyFields

✨ As an alternative way to donate, you can also shop 🛍️ my Stella & Dot fundraising link: www.stelladot.com/ts/nk9rj - and for every $50 sold, I'll donate $5 of my commission to the cause! 💖 (It just exceeded its first $50 increment!)

#10FreeDays: Day 1 - Combatting Trafficking in Nepal

Today launches the first of 10 days (#10FreeDays) where together, hundreds of activists will raise awareness and advocate for the
freedom of trafficking victims in Nepal.

I have joined the fight to combat human trafficking in Nepal by becoming an Activist for #10freedays, an awareness and fundraising campaign to support Our Daughters International

For the next 10 days, I will be sharing information about trafficking in Nepal and how Our Daughters International is transforming victims into leaders for change in their community. 🧍🏻‍♀️🧍🏽‍♀️🧍🏾‍♀️🧍🏿‍♀️🧍🏼‍♀️🧍‍♀️

Each day, you will have the opportunity to hear from a team member in Nepal as they share why trafficking happens and how girls are being provided hope and purpose as they journey along the pathway to restoration.

Today, hear from Ramesh Sapkota, Our Daughters International Founder and President.

Please consider making a small donation to help me meet my $300.00 fundraising goal💁🏻‍♀️   This organization is important to me, as a female business owner, because they rescue and restore women for employment or to become business owners and educate them to become leaders within their communities.

🤜🤛 Please join me in this fight against trafficking by helping me meet my fundraising goal through this link:http://weblink.donorperfect.com/OurDaughtersInternational/10freedays2020/WhitneyFields

10 Free Days - Our Daughters International Campaign Against Human Trafficking

Thank you for joining me in rescuing and restoring girls in Nepal from human trafficking!

Most Americans are born into privilege. We have food to eat every day, education for all, and we can benefit from a generous government when we are in need. In some places, like Nepal, incomes are scarce, education is discouraged for girls especially, and the government has inadequate handouts. The chance of a Nepalese child getting sold is high. Our Daughters International (ODI) actively fights against this inequality and for unifying anti-trafficking efforts globally.

ODI's missionWe are about rescuing the powerless. We are about educating the vulnerable. We are about giving every woman hope and purpose.

#10freedays is an annual campaign to build awareness and support for ODI. It was started in 2019 by my friend Katie Martinez, founder of Elegantees, a New York City fashion brand that has partnered with ODI and the Kingdom Hope Garment Factory in Nepal since 2011. With a passion for rescuing and restoring girls from human trafficking through sustainable employment, the Kingdom Hope Garment Factory was formed and now employs over 20 girls rescued from trafficking in Nepal. While having dinner with her good friend Pinky, Katie expressed her desire to do even more with Elegantees. Katie and Pinky wanted to increase public awareness and work to eliminate human trafficking in Nepal, and the #10freedays campaign was the outcome!

#10freedays is the coming together of 300+ activists, like me, fundraising $300 or more, to support the efforts to rescue and restore 300 women.

Our Daughters International is rescuing and restoring girls from human trafficking in Nepal. #10freedays focuses on creating awareness of the restoration pathway our daughters follow as they transform from trafficking victims to leaders for community change. Every dollar raised goes directly to ODI and the fight against human trafficking in Nepal.

Why Our Daughters International? Watch here.

Your support gives them hope and a purpose for their lives. After being restored, the women supported by ODI receive education, launch their own businesses, and become anti-trafficking advocates in their communities.

As a woman who has run her own business for 10+ years, I understand the importance and value that this brings to one's sense of purpose, self-confidence, and financial security. Meeting my goal of $300 is so important because that amount will rescue a girl from trafficking and put her on the restoration pathway of becoming a leader for change in Nepal.

There are two ways that you can participate in this campaign through me, as an activist.

1. You can make a donation directly through my donation page. Any amount will help and every dollar counts toward the goal.

2. You can shop for a cause through my Stella & Dot e-boutique here. For every $50.00 in sales received through this link, I'll donate $5.00 of my commission to the campaign from August 1-10. Additionally, I'll be raffling off a portion of the Referral Rewards earned and those who shop the link will be entered to win.

Also, follow along here or on my Instagram account - @whitneycf - as I'll be sharing more information about Our Daughters International and their mission every day, during the 10-day campaign period.

It's not too late to be a part of the campaign. Anyone can join; you don't need a certain number of followers, have an "influencer" status, or know all the ins-and-outs of social media. Help start the conversation.

Thank you so much for shopping for a cause or donating whatever you can... together we can make a difference.

Elegantees - Whitney Tee (Spring 2018)

A few years ago, I had the privilege of partnering with Elegantees founder, Katie Martinez, on various projects to promote Elegantees with my Stella & Dot business... we've combined efforts for a fashion show in NYC, collaborated on photo shoots with the jewelry and the tees, and we designed our first "Whitney" tee!

Elegantees - Whitney Tee - Ver. 1.0 (2014)

Elegantees is the stylish and comfy marriage of elegant and tees. Each design feels like a go-to cotton tee, but each is dressed up a little more. Each piece is designed with purpose to provide meaningful employment for women rescued from sex trafficking. Made in Nepal, one of the least developed countries in the world, which ranks high for trafficking, the seams of each one creates a bright future for the overcomer who made it.

Katie Martinez and I at the Whole Foods HQ!

Recently, I had the pleasure and privilege of joining Katie as she pitched the company to Whole Foods HQ in Austin, TX. As we reflected on this experience and the time we had known each other, we both agreed it was time to launch a NEW "Whitney" (2.0) tee!

I co-designed the "Whitney" tee with Katie not only because I loved the flutter sleeves and the cut of the tops, but also I love businesses that support the growth and development of women! With these bold colors representing bold women, I also wanted to promote a company with an incredible cause.

I am so delighted to introduce this piece to the Elegantees Spring 2018 Collection, which I also asked two ambassadors Amy Riojas and Jennifer Tegnerud to style and share as these women embodied the spirit of Elegantees.

Jennifer Tegnerud (follow her on Instagram here!) of BeYou Styling in Deep Rose

Amy Riojas (follow her on Instagram here!) in Grape. See her Insta-video in the tee here.

Amy also paired her grape Whitney tee with the Stella & Dot Horizon Chandeliers (which are no longer available, but the Aiyana Fringe Chandeliers are a nice alternative!), Rebel Pendant Necklace and the Taj Clutch!

Me wearing the navy with my Stella & Dot jewelry, of course! ;)

The "Whitney" tee is available in sizes XS-XL in colors: navy, grape and deep rose.

If you would like to own your own Elegantee, please use this link to shop - and you'll get a 15% discount on all items, including but not limited to the Whitney tee (or use the code "WHITNEY15" at checkout!)!

Thank you for all of your love, support and sharing the style!

Stella & Dot's Autism Awareness Bracelet - April 2016

Stella & Dot's Autism Awareness bracelet is so beautiful this year! Our best-selling Wishing Bracelet, the Harmony Bracelet, is now available in a colorful pave. Rainbows are said to be a perfect balance of promise, beauty, and enlightenment -- and the different colors represent those on various points of autism spectrum.

Stella & Dot Autism Bracelet - April 2016 Stella & Dot Harmony Bracelet - Autism Awareness, April 2016

From April 1-30, 2016, proceeds from this bracelet will benefit the HollyRod Foundation. For only $19, the Harmony bracelet is a great way to support and shop for a cause in style! I recommend getting one for yourself and one for a friend (or two!), as it is perfect for adding on to your spring and summer arm party or to give as a gift. My personal goal is to sell 100 bracelets in April! Will you join me in supporting autism awareness this year?

Stella & Dot + Holly Robinson Peete Autism Awareness
UsWeekly has more details about the HollyRod Foundation and the Harmony Bracelet, Stella & Dot's newest "shop for a cause" piece!

Thanks to our supporters over the last 3 years, this is what we've been able to achieve... Since partnering with the HollyRod Foundation in 2013, Stella & Dot has donated over $278,000! The funds generated from this collaboration helped to support various autism summer camps, social skills and adolescent prevocational programs around the US and Canada. We have been able to grant more than 100 tablets to non-verbal children with autism giving them the “Gift of Voice.” Due to the success of our 2014-2015 campaigns, we have also helped fund 11 new RJ’s Places in children’s hospitals and autism centers across the U.S. and Canada that provide technology for children living with autism and to create a refuge for siblings who must accompany their brother or sister to treatment.

Stella & Dot Autism Awareness Bracelet

Please send me an e-mail or order online if you would like to one, two... or five! And if this cause is near and dear to your heart, let's get together for a FUNdraiser in-person or online trunk show in April! I'd be happy to support a national or local autism organization in your honor, as I love making donations to a great cause!

UPDATE - 4/4/16: WOW! Talk about impact! In just 3 DAYS, Stella & Dot has sold more Autism Awareness bracelets than we sold in the ENTIRE MONTH of April last year!

With this incredible impact you are helping to make, we are close to selling out of the Harmony bracelet, but that’s not going to stop us from supporting HollyRod Foundation all month long!

We will still be honoring Autism Awareness Month through the end of April and have added 3 NEW STYLES to our Shop for a Cause boutique: Pave Wishing Bracelet – Gold,  Wishing Bracelet – Elephant and the Wishing Bracelet – Horseshoe.
