Elegantees - Whitney Tee (Spring 2018)

A few years ago, I had the privilege of partnering with Elegantees founder, Katie Martinez, on various projects to promote Elegantees with my Stella & Dot business... we've combined efforts for a fashion show in NYC, collaborated on photo shoots with the jewelry and the tees, and we designed our first "Whitney" tee!

Elegantees is the stylish and comfy marriage of elegant and tees. Each design feels like a go-to cotton tee, but each is dressed up a little more. Each piece is designed with purpose to provide meaningful employment for women rescued from sex trafficking. Made in Nepal, one of the least developed countries in the world, which ranks high for trafficking, the seams of each one creates a bright future for the overcomer who made it.

Recently, I had the pleasure and privilege of joining Katie as she pitched the company to Whole Foods HQ in Austin, TX. As we reflected on this experience and the time we had known each other, we both agreed it was time to launch a NEW "Whitney" (2.0) tee!

I co-designed the "Whitney" tee with Katie not only because I loved the flutter sleeves and the cut of the tops, but also I love businesses that support the growth and development of women! With these bold colors representing bold women, I also wanted to promote a company with an incredible cause.

I am so delighted to introduce this piece to the Elegantees Spring 2018 Collection, which I also asked two ambassadors Amy Riojas and Jennifer Tegnerud to style and share as these women embodied the spirit of Elegantees.

My October Stitch Fix

It's that time of the month again... my October Stitch Fix box arrived! ;) This time, I was so excited to get two of my past "keeps" in updated colors and prints.

I absolutely love the 41Hawthorn "Queensland Dolman Jersey Top" (received in a previous Fix in black) in Dark Purple and the Pixley "Ellie Printed 3/4 Sleeve Blouse" in a purple plaid print with the roll-tab sleeve (received in a previous Fix in an elephant print).

Both of these are the perfect tops for wearing casually or dressing up with jewelry!

My September 2016 Stitch Fix

Just opened my September Stitch Fix box and was so excited to keep the Renee C "Katarina Knit Swing Dress" (top) and the Pixley "Martina Slub Knit Open Cardigan" (bottom).

This Pixley cardigan is also one of the softest and most comfortable layering pieces I have ever owned, and I also have it in burgundy! You can wear it with jeans and a tee, over a dress and with yoga pants or leggings.

This olive green/black striped Renee C dress will be so cute worn casually for fall in the cooler weather with booties.
